BARBOUR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested after a domestic disturbance resulted in the man strangling a female.
On July 9, 2023, at approximately 8:22 pm, Officers were dispatched to Moatsville Hollow Road in reference to a domestic disturbance.
Responding Officers made contact with the female victim. She states that the defendant, Ronald Joe Everson, had placed his right hand around her neck and strangled her to where she could not breathe.
Officers received witness statements from individuals that were present and observed the incident and were consistent with the victim’s statement.
Everson was arrested and transported to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail where he is on a $20,000 Surety/Cash bond. Sgt. B.S. Gillis is the investigating Officer and was assisted by the West Virginia State Police.
All parties are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
