DANVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 25-year-old Danville man was arrested following allegations of domestic violence and sexual assault of a minor, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
Andrew Jarrell was taken into custody on March 16 after an investigation that began when his wife reported a domestic violence incident to local authorities. The incident occurred after she confronted him about an alleged sexual relationship with a 15-year-old family member.
According to police reports, the confrontation on March 11 turned violent, with Jarrell allegedly choking his wife and leaving visible injuries. The victim documented her injuries with photographs and later provided them to law enforcement.
During the investigation, authorities uncovered evidence of an inappropriate relationship between Jarrell and the minor, including text messages and photographs. The juvenile victim, who had recently turned 15, provided a statement to authorities at the Madison Police Department, revealing multiple instances of sexual assault that allegedly occurred in February 2025. Medical tests at Boone Memorial Health confirmed the juvenile is pregnant.
Jarrell was arrested at his residence without incident at approximately 6:27 PM. During transport to the Sheriff’s Office, he made a spontaneous admission of guilt before being read his Miranda Rights. After being properly advised of his rights, Jarrell admitted to involvement in a relationship with the minor but requested legal counsel before providing further details.
Deputy R. B. Dotson of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation. The case is now proceeding through the criminal justice system.
