CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One West Virginia man has been arrested after striking another man in the head with a blunt object.
According to a criminal complaint, on August 14th, 2023, at approximately 5:56 PM, Patrol Officers with the Charleston Police Department were dispatched to Central Avenue in Charleston for an assault with injuries.
During the initial police investigation, it was determined that 44-year-old Tommy Clendenin of Charleston struck a man with a blunt instrument near the crown of his head.
This caused the victim to have a laceration and heavy bleeding from his head due to being struck.
It has not been disclosed as to why Clendenin struck the victim in the head.
Clendenin is currently at South Central Regional Jail on a total $6,000 bond.
