KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Detectives with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man on multiple felony charges following a violent assault and kidnapping incident in Elkview.
Danny Lee Sanders Jr., 43, of Jordan Creek, has been charged with felony kidnapping, felony malicious assault, and first-degree felony sexual assault.
According to investigators, the incident occurred on March 10, 2025, when Sanders allegedly confronted a female victim outside, struck her in the head, and forced her into his residence.
Once inside, he reportedly beat the victim using his hands, feet, and various objects before forcing her to perform sexual acts against her will.
The victim initially attempted to escape but was recaptured. She later managed to flee through a window and contact law enforcement.
Authorities report that she suffered multiple blunt force injuries, extreme swelling, cuts, and abrasions to her face and neck.
Sanders was taken into custody and remains under arrest. He is currently at South Central Regional Jail.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office extended its sympathy to the victim as she begins her recovery.
