CHARMCO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A domestic argument in the early hours of Thursday morning escalated into a serious threat when a Greenbrier County man allegedly poured alcohol on his belongings and threatened to set them on fire.
Deputies L.R. Kessler and J.C. VanDyke of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Highwood Lane around 1:46 a.m. regarding a possible domestic incident.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with Eric Scott, who admitted to getting into an argument with his girlfriend. During the confrontation, Scott reportedly said he would “burn it all down” before dousing his belongings in alcohol in the middle of the camper they shared.
The girlfriend confirmed the details of the incident and also told deputies that Scott had threatened her life multiple times in the past.
Scott was arrested on a Domestic Assault charge and transported to Southern Regional Jail.
