LOGAN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A juvenile is recovering after being violently assaulted at Peach Creek trailhead in Logan County.
On June 2, 2024, at approximately 2:45 AM, Deputies J.L. Isaacs and C.CB Frye of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of an assault at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the 15-year-old victim. The victim stated he had been hanging out with friends at Peach Creek trailhead when Caden Baisden approached him from behind and began striking him. Baisden then took the victim to the ground and continued to assault him.
The deputies immediately contacted the victim’s legal guardian and advised them of the incident, requesting they come to the hospital.
A witness on the scene also backed up the victim’s statement. It’s unknown why Baisden attacked the juvenile.
Baisden was charged with assault and battery.
