BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Raleigh County man’s motion to reconsider was granted in court Tuesday following the issuance of several charges including probation violation.
Earlier this year, Brandon Vipperman was arrested at a Beckley Sheetz location after management indicated he had been trespassing on the property.
In addition to the Trespassing charge, Vipperman was charged with Fraud along with Probation Violation after security footage revealed he had attempted to charge 31 cents to a debit card which had just been stolen from a woman’s wallet, which itself had been located inside her parked vehicle outside the establishment.
Assistant Prosecuting Josh Thompson indicates that, following the issuance of a 1-3 year penitentiary sentence, Vipperman requested that the judge reconsider the decision.
The motion to reconsider was granted in Raleigh County Court on Tuesday and saw Vipperman placed back on supervised probation with the condition of long term drug rehabilitation at the Anchor Homes program in Kanawha County.
The decision will serve as Vipperman’s final opportunity to avoid sentencing, and failure to complete the court appointed rehabilitation program will result in reincarceration.
