BARBOUR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested for drug possession after fleeing from police during a traffic stop.
According to the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department, on Monday, March 25, 2024, Deputy C. Mayle and his partner Creed signaled a traffic stop on a gold Dodge Ram 1500 leaving the Dartmoor Storage units, as the Deputy had knowledge that one of the occupants has three active felony warrants.
The suspect vehicle did not comply with the lights and siren and began to flee in a reckless manner.
The pursuit went into Upshur County where the suspect pulled into a driveway and then fled on foot. K9 Creed was deployed to apprehend the suspect. The suspect surrendered prior to Creed catching up to him.
Post-investigation revealed that the female passenger told the driver (suspect) to pull over 6 times to let her out, to which the suspect refused.
In addition, 1.69 grams of suspected methamphetamine was found in the vehicle.
Adam Ray Isner, 41, of Elkins, was charged with Fleeing with Reckless Indifference (vehicle), Unlawful Restraint, and Possession of Methamphetamine.
He is currently at Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
