BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mercer County man is in jail after getting into a fight with another man.
According to Bluefield Police, on August 12, 2021, they responded to a fight in progress in the area of Grants Supermarket on Bluefield Ave. One of the police officers requested EMS due to one of the male victim’s having a broken arm and multiple knots and bruises on his face. Another officer observed the suspect, Johnathon Juszczyk, walking down the sidewalk; he had his shirt in his hand and was yelling, “I am not a Fag” while walking away. The officer instructed Juszczyk to walk to him, and he did. The officer observed a small amount of blood on his right arm, and he had dirt on his back and chest. Mr. Juszczyk advised, “I can’t take people calling me a fag anymore.”
The victim was transported to Princeton Community Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. Police noted that the victim and the suspect had a prior history together. They responded to a malicious wounding complaint in 2020 that involved Juszczyk assaulting the victim to the point of fracturing his orbital socket and breaking his nose.
Juszczyk is charged with malicious wounding and is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 20,000 cash-only bond.
