LINCOLN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On Friday, December 8, 2023, at approximately 1:00 pm, Cpl. C. A. Lewis and Sr. Tpr. T. C. Hurley responded to a stabbing complaint on WV Rt. 34 in Lincoln County.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Peyton Cox, 27 of Charleston, WV deceased from apparent stab wounds. Upon investigation, officers discovered the crime occurred on Walnut St. Hamlin, WV.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Chris Taylor, 25 of Hamlin, WV for Murder. The accused was transported to the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville, WV.
This investigation remains active and ongoing.
