WEST HAMLIN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested after robbing a convenience store.
According to the West Virginia State Police (WVSO), on Monday, June 17, 2024, the WVSP responded to a robbery at Pam’s Convenience Store in West Hamlin.
Lincoln County 911 dispatched Troopers C.T. Daniels, D.E. Vance, and Sgt. D.J. Miller to the scene.
Upon arrival, the officers were informed that a male suspect, dressed in black and wearing a face mask and gloves, had entered the store.
The suspect pushed the clerk against the wall and took money from the safe. After securing the money, he released the clerk and fled the store on foot.
Despite canvassing the area, officers were initially unable to locate the suspect.
Following up on leads, Tpr. Daniels obtained an arrest warrant for 38-year-old Matthew Pack of West Hamlin.
On Friday, August 2, 2024, members of the Hamlin Detachment located and arrested Pack.
He was processed and transported to the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville, where he awaits arraignment.
The investigation is still active and ongoing.
