OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An Oak Hill man is facing felony charges in Fayette County. Sheriff Mike Fridley provides the following information regarding this incident.
Just after noon, on July 11, 2024, deputies were patrolling in the Miller Ridge area when they passed a residence that is associated with past incidents of sales of narcotics. Deputies saw a group of individuals surrounding a vehicle with a firearm. It is known that the occupants of that residence are prohibited from possessing firearms; therefore, the deputies stopped.
As they approached, the individuals attempted to conceal the firearm, and the smell of marijuana was emitted from the vehicle. The individual with the firearm was detained, and the vehicle was searched.
The search of the individual and vehicle yielded a pistol, $3,945.00 in cash, suspected fentanyl, a large quantity of marijuana and other THC products, and other paraphernalia consistent with the distribution of narcotics.
Nicholas Plumb, 24 of Oak Hill, is charged with the felony offenses of Possession with Intent to Deliver (2 counts), and the misdemeanor offense of Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm. Plumb will now await further court proceedings.
