RAVENSWOOD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Ravenswood man is in custody following a domestic disturbance at a residence on Race Street. Police say Joseph Malloy became enraged over a crying baby, leading to a physical altercation with his daughter’s boyfriend.
At approximately 9:40 PM, Patrolman Anderson, Patrolman Rader, and Corporal Prechtl of the Ravenswood Police Department were dispatched to 905 Race Street in response to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a victim and her boyfriend, who described the events leading to the altercation.
According to the victim’s boyfriend, he had been retrieving milk for the baby when Joseph Malloy became agitated by the baby’s crying and began breaking items in the home.  He reportedly told his Malloy not to behave that way in front of the child.
The boyfriend stated that Malloy then confronted him in the hallway, where another verbal exchange occurred. Malloy subsequently entered the baby’s room and attacked him. He managed to subdue Malloy by placing him in a headlock and asked him to stop attacking if released. Malloy agreed and left the residence shortly after.
Later that evening, Joseph Malloy turned himself in at the Ravenswood Police Department without further incident.
