BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A routine patrol took an unexpected turn on the afternoon of July 19, 2025, when officers were alerted to a man defecating in a public park directly across from the Beckley Police Department on Neville Street.
Upon arrival, officers observed the male, later identified as Jack Williams, in the act with his pants down and genitals exposed to both law enforcement and the public. Williams was also seen wiping himself in plain view.
When questioned, Williams claimed he “couldn’t wait” to use a restroom.
He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Beckley Police Department for processing. Williams was then transferred to Southern Regional Jail.
The incident occurred in broad daylight and within clear sight of downtown pedestrian traffic.
