NICHOLAS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man faces charges after an altercation at a Nicholas County Elementary School.
According to officials, on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, a call came in from Gauley River Elementary School about an altercation and trespassing complaint. Â When officers arrived on the scene, the school’s principal said they observed Daniel Scott Bragg on the sidewalk of the school property. Â The principal continued to say that Bragg started messing around inside a dark book bag. Â The principal asked Bragg to use the far sidewalk away from the school while students were present, which he refused.
Bragg began to cuss and threaten the principal. Â He approached the victim with his fists closed like he would strike the victim.
Bragg was charged with outstanding capias, disorderly conduct, trespassing when asked to leave, and assault on a school employee. He is being held in Central Regional Jail under a 3,500 dollar bond.
