MONTCALM, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mercer County man is facing child abuse charges.
According to Mercer County deputies, Justin Wyatt and his wife were arguing at their home. A child yelled for her stepfather to stop, and Wyatt then grabbed the child by the throat with both of his hands and began choking her. Â The wife yelled at him to stop. Â Wyatt let go of the child and left.
The wife was afraid to report it but was tired of being mentally and physically abused. Â Pictures of the child’s neck showed redness and bruising from being choked.
Wyatt is charged with child abuse resulting in injury.
