CLENDENIN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Kanawha County man faces multiple charges following an altercation with a member of the Clendenin Police Department.
As reported by the Clendenin Police Department, the CPD encountered Danny Joe Wagoner during a procedural traffic stop on Tuesday. Throughout the process, Wagoner is reported to have engaged in defiant behavior, blatantly refusing multiple lawful orders from a law enforcement officer.
The situation would eventually escalate, resulting in Wagoner striking an involved officer several times in the chest and ultimately kicking the officer in the chest.
Wagoner was arrested during the incident and now faces charges of Battery on an Officer as well as Obstructing an Officer. The arrest follows a 2019 situation in which Wagoner was charged with Domestic Battery.
