LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man faces charges after robbing Kathy’s Kafe.
According to Greenbrier County Deputies, on February 24, 2023, an employee says, Hunter Ross Thompson of Talcott, WV, came into Kathy’s Kafe and played the slot machines for a short period. Â Thompson then told the employee that he was armed with a gun and told him to give him money.
Johnson then cut the cords to the DVR system with a large knife holding all the security footage. Thompson then started to empty out all the slot machines, stole the DVR system, and ended up robbing the business of over 9,000 dollars in cash.
Thompson is charged with robbery and grand larceny. He is currently being held in Southern Regional Jail.
