BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man has been charged with making terroristic threats after saying he would destroy a local health facility.
According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, on June 19, 2024, deputies were called to a local health facility regarding a conversation between the facility and Sean Lee Branson. According to a recording, Branson became belligerent, stating that he would “f***ing destroy the f***ing hospital even if he had to do it himself.” The health facility took the threat seriously and felt that he would do something due to Branson’s anger.
When deputies spoke to Branson, he stated that he did say that and was angry at the system because of a hand injury. He said he “intended to destroy the place if he needed to, to get people to listen to him.”
Branson is charged with making terroristic threats. He is being held in Southern Regional Jail.
