WOOD COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been charged after shutting a woman’s foot in a car door and then shoving her to the ground.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday, July 31, deputies responded to a call on Friar Tuck Road regarding a domestic disturbance.
The suspect fled into a wooded area behind the residence before deputies arrived and could not be located after a thorough search.
The female victim reported that the suspect, identified as Gary Wayne Paris, 52, of Friar Tuck Road, became physically violent.
He allegedly shut her foot in a car door to prevent her from leaving and, at another point, approached her from behind and shoved her to the ground.
The suspect fled the scene when he realized 911 had been called.
A warrant has been issued for Paris for charges of second-offense domestic battery and unlawful restraint.
