OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A terrifying domestic incident unfolded on the morning of May 8, 2025, when Gary Curtis Tilley allegedly attacked a woman on the roadside between Shorts Trailer Park and Lower Fords Trailer Park—threatening to kill her and beating her to the ground.
Around 9:18 a.m., 911 dispatchers at WCERC received a call about a physical domestic disturbance. According to reports, Tilley fled into Shorts Trailer Park after the incident, while the victim made her way to Lower Fords.
When law enforcement arrived, the victim told officers that Tilley had followed her as she was walking and began making threats, saying he was going to kill her. When she reached the bottom of a nearby hill, Tilley allegedly knocked her down and struck her repeatedly before running off as help was being called.
Police launched an immediate search of the area. A criminal complaint has been filed against Tilley, who now faces charges related to domestic battery and threats of violence.
