RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is charged with attempted murder after he entered a home and stabbed a man.
According to detectives with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, a call came in on 3rd Street in Beaver for a report of a burglary and assault in progress. Â The caller said a man inside their home was physically attacking her husband. Â When deputies arrived, they forced entry into the house and found the victim with multiple stab wounds and heavy bleeding. Â The victim said a noise awakened him, and when he investigated it, he found the suspect, Charles Cox, inside the garage. Â The suspect then entered the home and started stabbing the victim multiple times.
Deputies found Charles Cox under the crawlspace along with items that matched his description of him.
Cox is charged with burglary and attempted murder. Â He is being held in Southern Regional Jail under a 100,000 dollar bond.
