Man dies at Southern Regional Jail

BEAVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An inmate has died at Southern Regional Jail.

According to Raleigh County Prosecuting Attorney Ben Hatfield, the death at Southern Regional Jail occurred during the first week of March.  Hatfield says no foul play was suspected, but he confirmed it was a man.

Last year, 13 deaths were reported at Southern Regional Jail.  Also, several inmates have overdosed.

Multiple lawsuits have been filed against Southern Regional Jail.
