PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is in jail after allegedly sexually abusing a minor child and then threatening to kill himself.
According to Princeton Police, on November 26, 2022, they were dispatched to a home regarding a suicidal male with a firearm. When they arrived, Martin Richey was found on his knees with a gun in his mouth. Police told Richey to drop the weapon and to talk to them, but he refused. He admitted to touching a child sexually. Police eventually got Richey to drop the gun and detained him.
The child’s mother said she confronted Richey, and he ran out the door with a gun and threatened to kill himself. There were also videos of Richey doing inappropriate things to the minor child.
Richey is charged with sexual abuse and wanton endangerment. He is in Southern Regional Jail under a 25,000 dollar cash-only bond.
