SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Summers County man was arrested after allegedly threatening two individuals with firearms and assaulting his ex-girlfriend inside her home.
At approximately 8:56 p.m. on March 23, 2025, deputies responded to a call on Paul Lowe Road regarding a male suspect chasing another man with a shotgun and pistol. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with two victims and George Mohr (the accused), who approached them from behind, armed with both weapons.
According to Victim #1, Mohr ordered both victims inside the home at gunpoint. Once inside, Mohr forced Victim #2 into a bedroom while Victim #1 fled the residence and ran down the road.
When deputies arrived at Paul Lowe Road, they found Mohr standing in a field, holding a beer bottle. He was taken into custody, and during questioning, he admitted to placing the firearms inside his camper, which was on the same property as Victim #2’s residence.
Victim #2 told deputies that Mohr pointed a gun at both of them, forced them inside, and then threw her onto the bed in the bedroom. She stated she struggled with him over the handgun before he placed the gun to her head, telling her she was going to “meet Jeremy,” referring to her deceased husband. She convinced him to leave by saying she would not press charges.
Deputies later recovered both firearms inside Mohr’s camper, both fully loaded with a round in the chamber.
Mohr was arrested and charged with:
-
Two counts of Brandishing a Deadly Weapon
-
Two counts of Wanton Endangerment Involving a Firearm
