BECKLEY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been injured and taken to the hospital following what police suspect was a hit and run that occurred on Saturday, Jan. 9.
The call came in Saturday evening around 6 p.m., according to Raleigh County Dispatchers, who stated that it appeared to be a hit and run at the intersection of Cohen Street and Robert C. Byrd Drive in Beckley.
Beckley Fire Department, Jan-Care Ambulance, Bradley Fire Department and the Beckley Police Department all responded.
Dispatchers said the man, who appears to be in his late 40’s, was having a seizure when the first responders arrived. He was transported to a hospital in Charleston.
Beckley Police shared that there were no witnesses, no suspect and no suspect vehicle; however, they did know that the vehicle was traveling southbound and left the scene.
