BELINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A domestic dispute escalated dangerously on Elliott Avenue when a man, Ryan Facemire, allegedly pulled a firearm on a woman during an argument inside a residence, prompting a swift response from local authorities.
According to Barbour County 911, officers were dispatched to a home in Belington after receiving reports of a domestic incident involving a gun.
Upon arrival, officers found the woman sitting in her vehicle in the driveway. She reported that she had gone to the residence after receiving a concerning call from her daughter, who was walking over with her two young children. Wanting to ensure their safety, the woman drove to the home.
Inside the residence, tensions flared over a disagreement between the daughter and the male occupant. The situation reportedly escalated after the woman made a comment suggesting the daughter should leave and seek support through legal means. After stepping outside briefly, the woman and her daughter re-entered the home to gather belongings when the man demanded the woman leave. When she refused, he allegedly pulled a handgun and pointed it at her.
The suspect later admitted to officers that he pulled the weapon after asking the woman to leave and she refused. Deputy Barcus of the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department recovered a black pistol from a cabinet inside the home.
