CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Charleston man was sentenced Wednesday for his involvement in a drug trafficking organization that operated in the Beckley area and elsewhere in southern West Virginia.

Court documents show that Lacy admitted to contacting Tilford Joe Bradley Jr. in April 2024 to request approximately 3.5 grams of cocaine base, known as “crack,” and to discuss purchasing fentanyl for redistribution.
Lacy further admitted to receiving crack from Bradley throughout the month and distributing it within the Southern District of West Virginia.
Lacy’s criminal history includes prior convictions for drug possession, criminal conspiracy, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
He and Bradley were among 12 individuals indicted for participation in the DTO, which operated from June 2023 to May 2024. Bradley, 47, of Beckley, was sentenced in July 2025 to 12 years and seven months in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa G. Johnston credited the investigative work of the FBI, the ATF, and the Beckley/Raleigh County Drug and Violent Crime Unit, which includes officers from the West Virginia State Police, Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, and Beckley Police Department.
Chief U.S. District Judge Frank W. Volk imposed the sentence. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Timothy D. Boggess and Brian D. Parsons, along with former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew D. Isabell.
The investigation was part of the Department of Justice’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF), a program designed to target major drug trafficking and money laundering organizations through coordinated federal, state, and local efforts.
The OCDETF program aims to disrupt and dismantle organizations that pose a serious threat to public safety, the economy, or national security.
