WHEELING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Cleveland man has been sentenced to nearly six years in federal prison for trafficking fentanyl in Ohio County.
Antonio D. Moncrief, 35, also known as “Tone,” received a 71-month sentence for selling fentanyl on Wheeling Island, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia.
Law enforcement officials seized methamphetamine, cocaine, and 107 fentanyl pills from an apartment on North Front Street connected to Moncrief.
After serving his prison term, Moncrief will spend three years on supervised release.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Clayton Reid.
The investigation was led by the Ohio Valley Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative. U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided over the case.
