FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man who overdosed told police he would “f*ck him up” and “eat his face off” after they gave him Narcan to save his life.
On Thursday, September 14, 2023, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the Walmart parking lot to a suspected overdose. When two officers arrived, they found a male, later identified as Tristan Brett Gerbige of Alabama, sitting upright on the pavement with rafting gear and personal belongings in the grass.
The officers administered Narcan, and he came to. Gerbige refused medical care. Gerbige then became irate; he stated he would “f*ck him up.” He told one officer that he would eat his face off.
Police say the suspect was slurring his words and smelled of alcohol.
Gerbige was arrested and charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and assault on law enforcement. He is being held in Southern Regional Jail under a 2,000 dollar bond.
