RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is accused of pointing a gun at a woman, threatening to kill her after she told him she was dissatisfied with the relationship and was going to move out.
According to the WV State Police, troopers responded to a home in Odd, WV, on Friday, May 3, 2024. The female victim said she told the suspect, Thomas Evans, that she was dissatisfied with the relationship and was going to collect her belongings and move out. Evans threw her on the bed and stated, “You will die before you leave here,” placing her in immediate fear for her safety.
Evans grabbed a black AR-15-style rifle and pressed the muzzle of the weapon on the victim’s chest and head, stating, “I will kill you.” Evans continued to terrorize the victim. As the victim pleaded for her life, Mr. Evans said, “You tell people I am your husband…I’m going to get what’s mine…nobody is coming here to help you…I’m getting what’s mine…I’m going to kill you…You won’t live through the night.”
The victim could finally escape through the front door, drive to a location, and call 911.
Evans is charged with domestic assault, domestic battery, kidnapping, and wanton endangerment involving a firearm. He is being held in Southern Regional Jail.
