SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is facing a criminal complaint after authorities say he violated an active domestic violence protective order during an encounter at a Lowe’s store in Kanawha County.
According to the complaint, an officer was dispatched to Lowe’s on RHL Boulevard in South Charleston at approximately 2:44 p.m. on June 28, 2026.
Investigators were told that the protected individuals were shopping inside the store when they encountered Mark Moles.
Authorities allege Moles spoke to one of the protected individuals and attempted to hug the juvenile.
The complaint states that the protective order had been issued due to allegations that Moles engaged in sexually inappropriate conduct toward juvenile children.
Following the investigation, the officer stated that a criminal complaint would be filed against Moles in Kanawha County Magistrate Court for allegedly violating the active domestic violence protective order.
The allegations contained in the complaint have not been proven in court, and Moles is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
