WOOD COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A disturbance at a local bar escalated into multiple charges for a Parkersburg man following his alleged actions toward emergency responders and law enforcement.
On January 14, 2025, officers responded to a call at 800 7th Street, known as After Hours Bar, regarding a welfare check. Upon arrival, officers found the defendant, David Scott, lying on the floor and appearing to drift in and out of consciousness.
Alleged Indecent Behavior and Assaults
While on the floor, Scott allegedly exposed himself and said, “I’m gonna piss on yah.” He was subsequently placed in an ambulance, where he reportedly grabbed EMS employee Matthew Williamson by the arms several times before kicking him.
Upon arrival at Camden Clark Medical Center, Scott attempted to grab Parkersburg Police Officer A.W. Davis, threatening to fight him. As officers tried to transport him into the hospital, Scott allegedly resisted and tried to grab onto officers again.
Arrest and Charges
Scott was placed under arrest after resisting efforts to secure him in handcuffs. Authorities have requested warrants for the following charges:
- Assault on a Police Officer
- Battery on EMS
- Indecent Exposure
- Obstructing an Officer
