OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A manager at One Stop in Oak Hill is facing embezzlement charges.
According to Oak Hill Police detectives, on July 14, 2022, the area manager said that the manager of One Stop located in Oak Hill, Chelsea Massey, had embezzled a large sum of money. Detectives were given a handwritten statement supposedly written by Massey, confessing to stealing an unknown amount of money from One Stop.
A receipt given to the officers showed that the total amount of missing money from deposits was $67,965.83; this amount does not include money missing from the ATM. The alleged embezzlement occurred between May 9, 2022, and July 6, 2022. The amount stolen from the ATM was $17,940.00. The total amount of money that Chelsea Massey allegedly embezzled was $93,816.00.
Massey is charged with embezzlement. She is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 25,000 dollar bond.
