MARION COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – This morning, the West Virginia Republican Party announced that Marion County Clerk, and Democrat, Julie Kincaid has changed her voter registration and is now affiliated with the Republican Party.
“I was elected to the office of Marion County Clerk in 2022 as a Democrat. When I ran, I committed myself to administering the County Clerk’s office and our elections with integrity, transparency, and accountability. I will continue to run my office with those core values, but I can no longer do that as a member of the Democratic Party,” said Marion County Clerk Julie Kincaid.
Clerk Kincaid added, “The Republican Party in West Virginia represents the values that the people of this State believe in: devotion to God, patriotism, dedication to our community, State, and our nation. We believe that America is the greatest nation on the face of the earth and that traditional American values and common sense conservative policies are the best way to govern this beautiful land. Unfortunately, under the leadership of President Joe Biden, the Democratic Party no longer stands for those values and no longer has room for the vast majority of West Virginians. I invite my fellow citizens to join me in becoming a member of the West Virginia Republican Party.”
“West Virginians continue to reject the radical left-wing policies of Joe Biden and Joe Manchin,” said West Virginia Republican Party Chairwoman Elgine McArdle.
“West Virginians are conservative and support the values of the Republican Party – faith, family, and freedom. For far too long, Democrats in Charleston and Washington have taken our votes for granted. More and more Mountaineers are taking the leap and changing to Republican. Even Joe Manchin’s own Democrat County Clerk believes that National Democrats no longer stand for her values and fight for what she believes in.
“I welcome Clerk Julie Kincaid to the Republican Party and join her in encouraging fellow West Virginians in finally joining a Political Party that truly represents their interest – and not far-left secular socialist policies.
“Over the next few weeks and months, I look forward to announcing more party switches at the State and local level, and I welcome all West Virginians who believe in these values and a conservative agenda to join the Republican Party.”
