HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – According to college football insider & analyst Brett McMurphy, Marshall Head Coach Charles Huff is heading to Southern Miss.
The move to Southern Miss has been discussed for several days now with Huff walking around the question when asked by the press.
ESPN’s College Football Senior Writer Pete Thamel reports that Southern Miss and Huff have been in “deep discussions” and that a deal is expected to come together quickly.
The news comes following Marshall’s first-ever Sun Belt Conference Championship victory defeating Louisiana 31-3.
Huff has been head coach of the Thundering Herd since January 2021.
Huff has a combined record of 32-20 as head coach at Marshall.
