MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A West Virginia House of Delegates serving McDowell County resigned just days before the legislative session.
Delegate Anita Hall, a Republican who served the 36th WV House District, submitted her resignation on Sunday, January 7, 2024. In an email to House Speaker Roger Hanshaw, Hall cited unforeseen circumstances that prevented her from upholding her duties and responsibilities to the good people in McDowell County.
Hall said she will continue to be a part of the future of West Virginia and looks forward to seeing everyone in the future.
Hall was first elected in November of 2022. She served one year in the House. She won her primary by one vote and the general election by nearly 20% against Democrat Ed Evans.
