WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – The tenth-largest jackpot in Mega Millions® history will be up for grabs in the next drawing today, Friday, December 6.
After no ticket matched all six numbers in Tuesday’s drawing, the jackpot has rolled to an estimated $579 million, with a cash option of $276.6 million.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were 52, 60, 61, 66, 67, and Mega Ball 23.
This year has been exceptional for Mega Millions, with all three jackpots won in 2024 ranking among the game’s top ten.
A $1.128 billion prize kicked off the year in March, followed by a $552 million jackpot in June and an $810 million prize in September.
In addition, this year could mark the first time all jackpots won reached the top-ten tier.
While the jackpot remains unclaimed, other winners are celebrating.
Tuesday’s drawing produced 948,575 winning tickets across all prize tiers. Three tickets—two in Ohio and one in Wisconsin—matched five white balls, earning $1 million each.
Additionally, 18 tickets won third-tier prizes, with five enhanced to $40,000 due to the Megaplier option.
Since this jackpot run began on September 13, over 14.3 million winning tickets have been sold across all prize levels.
These include 38 second-tier prizes of $1 million or more, claimed in 18 states, including California, New York, and Texas.
Mega Millions tickets are available in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands for $2 each.
Players can add the Megaplier for $1 to increase non-jackpot prizes. Drawings are held at 11 p.m. ET on Tuesdays and Fridays in Atlanta, Georgia.
The odds of winning the jackpot remain steep at 1 in 302.6 million, but excitement continues to build as players dream of striking it big.
