MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mercer County man is facing 25 misdemeanor charges following an investigation by the West Virginia State Police Crimes Against Children Unit into suspected child sexual abuse material reported by Google.
According to a criminal complaint, the investigation began on June 11, 2026, when a trooper assigned to the West Virginia State Police Crimes Against Children Unit received a cyber tip through the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) program. The tip, submitted by Google, reported that an account using the username “Jordan Gregory” was suspected of possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Investigators said the cyber tip included two images depicting unclothed prepubescent girls exposing intimate body parts. The account was reportedly associated with the email address gregoryjordan478@gmail.com.
State police obtained administrative subpoenas seeking subscriber information for the account. Google later provided investigators with account information, including usernames, email addresses, and phone numbers associated with the account.
Using law enforcement databases, investigators identified Jordan Gregory, born March 24, 1990, and linked him to an address on Hurricane Ridge Road in Bluefield, Mercer County.
On July 6, a search warrant for the Google account was approved by Mercer County Circuit Judge Mark Wills and served through Google’s Law Enforcement Request System.
According to the complaint, investigators received the results of the search warrant on July 13. During their review, troopers reportedly located approximately 25 images classified as child erotica.
The complaint states the images depicted pubescent and prepubescent girls in sexually explicit poses. Investigators said 15 images displayed the children’s genital area, while the remaining 10 images exposed the children’s breasts.
As a result of the investigation, the investigating trooper is seeking an arrest warrant charging Gregory with 25 counts of violating West Virginia Code § 61-8C-3a, Prohibiting Child Erotica, a misdemeanor offense.
The allegations contained in the criminal complaint are accusations only. Gregory is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
