MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS)– Darrin Porter, Jr. was arrested and charged after police found multiple drugs in his car.
According to court documents, Porter was at the BP gas station around 6:13 pm with his car running. An officer that had prior knowledge of the suspect because of a past DUI asked him to step out of the car. As Porter got out of the vehicle, the officer located a pipe consistent with the use of methamphetamine in the driver’s seat. Porter was then detained and an investigation commenced.
Other items that were found in his car was a container that had a waxy substance consistent with THC, suboxone, a container with green leafy substance consistent with marijuana, clear plastic bags and ties, a clear rock consistent with methamphetamine, and oxycodone.
It was also found that Porter had been driving with a revoked license and the registration went to another vehicle. At around 6:27 pm, Porter was transported for further processing.
Porter was charged with driving with a license suspended or revoked under the influence of alcohol or drugs, improper use of evidence of registration, possession with intent to distribute a schedule I, II and III class drug. He could face up to one to fifteen years in prison.
