MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Mercer County man Sentenced to Prison for Sex Crime Against Child.
According to Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney Brian K. Cochran, Martin Robert Richey, 56, of Princeton, West Virginia was sentenced today by Circuit Court Judge Mark Wills to the maximum penalty of 10-20 years in prison for sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, or custodian.
According to Cochran, Wills ordered Richey to also register as a sex offender for life, and that he serve an additional 10 years on supervised release in the event he is released from prison.
“Judge Wills thoroughly reviewed the facts of this case and clearly did the right thing by sentencing Richey to the maximum sentence”.
Cochran thanked the Princeton Police Department for its investigation and also thanked his staff in the Prosecutor’s office. “Our law enforcement officers and our prosecutor’s office work very hard and very well together in seeking Justice for victims of crime, and particularly those young child victims such as in this case”.
