Independence 75, Shady Spring 49
Coal City – Iziah Gordon scored 24 points as Independence Middle downed rival Shady 75-49 Monday at Indy Middle.
Brock Green added 21 points in the win for Indy while Broc Johnson scored 19.
Jake Knell led Shady with 17 points in the loss. Indy improves to 6-0 with the win.
Indy will host Greater Beckley on Tuesday.

Mount Hope – Gabe Short shot 75 percent form the field, scoring 20 points as Greater Beckley Middle cruised to a 73-34 road victory over Mount Hope.
Eli Sexton and Keegan Davidson added 16 each for the Crusaders in the win with the latter adding seven steals.
Greater Beckley will travel to undefeated Independence on Tuesday.
