Huntington – Greater Beckley raced out to a 15-7 lead after a quarter, beating Mercer Christian 70-54 in the WVCAT title game Saturday at Grace Christian in Huntington.
Keegan Davidson led the way with 20 points while Gabe Short and Eli Sexton netted 17 each. Davidson earned Tournament MVP honors, averaging 15.6 points per game across the Crusaders’ three wins. Sexton and Short were rewarded for their efforts as well earning all-tournament honors alongside Davidson.
Eli Patton led Mercer Christian and all scorers with 26 points while Adam Jones netted 15. Both players earned all-tournament honors as well.
