The Shady Spring girls opened the season with a 42-20 win over Western Greenbrier.
Kendal Wickline led all scorers with 21 points and six rebounds, while Liz Rose added 11 points and grabbed five rebounds.
Callie Olson scored five points and had two rebounds.

Independence 57, Park 38
Iziah Gordon led the Patriots with 28 points and K.J. Viars added 14 points, as Independence improved to 2-0.
Konnor James scored six points and Tristan Lykins had five.
Z. Hill Johnson led the Roadrunners with 11 points, while K. Williams scored nine and R. Greene had eight.
