HICO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Midland Trail Patriots left no doubt in their home opener Friday night, rolling past the Poca Dots in a 55-0 shutout.
Midland Trail (2-0) controlled the game from start to finish, capitalizing on multiple Poca turnovers and defensive stops to build an insurmountable lead.
The Patriots’ defense set the tone, while their offense consistently turned opportunities into points.
Poca (1-1) struggled to find any rhythm, unable to break through against a stout Patriots defense.
The Patriots will look to keep their unbeaten start going next week when they host the Braxton County Eagles. Poca will try to bounce back at home against Ravenswood.
