MINGO COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Mingo Central High School was evacuated Friday morning after a suspicious note was discovered on school property, according to the Mingo County School Board of Education.
Students and staff were moved to a secure location while law enforcement investigated the situation.
A K-9 unit was brought in to inspect the school, and officials later determined there was no threat.
After receiving the all-clear, students and staff returned to class.
School officials thanked law enforcement for their quick response.
