MONTGOMERY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Montgomery Board of Parks and Recreation is calling on residents to help improve local parks and recreational activities.
The Board oversees events and facilities such as the 4th of July celebration, the Christmas parade, the Community Center, Pool Park, Morris Drive Park, the Pier at 6th and Adams, and the Park at 5th and Lee.
Volunteers are essential to making these projects successful.
While official membership requires approval by the Montgomery City Council, there are numerous opportunities for residents to contribute in various capacities without a long-term commitment.
Those interested in becoming a board member should submit their names to the Park Board.
Additionally, residents are invited to attend the monthly Park Board meetings, held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
For more information or to get involved, please contact the City of Montgomery Board of Parks and Recreation.
