MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A daughter is arrested after she physically assaulted her mom, snatching her hair, pulling her to the ground, and breaking her glasses.
On August 20th, 2024, at around 8:46 AM, Corporal L.L. Addair and another officer responded to Princeton Village in Mercer County, West Virginia, regarding an open line call.
The dispatch from Mercer E-911 indicated they could hear voices arguing in the background. Upon arrival, the officers found two women, Tara Whistlehunt and her mother, engaged in a heated argument.
The mother explained that Tara had come to the house to collect her belongings but was asked to leave. Instead of leaving, Tara entered the home. The mother accused Tara of physically assaulting her, claiming that Tara pulled her hair, knocked her to the ground, and broke her glasses while hitting her. The mother stated Tara “snatched me by the hair, pulled me plum to the floor.”
Although the mother did not appear to have any visible injuries, the broken glasses were found on the table. Corporal Addair took a written statement from her.
Based on the mother’s account, Tara Whistlehunt was arrested and taken to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, where she was charged with Domestic Battery for the first offense.
