MOUNT HOPE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mount Hope man is in jail on burglary and grand larceny charges.
According to Mount Hope Police Department, on July 6, 2021, a theft complaint came on North Maryland Ave. When police arrived on the scene, the homeowner stated that Johnny Underwood Jr. had just stolen a bunch of stuff from him. Allegedly Underwood stole ginseng, copper, and tools.
Some of the stolen tools included a Husqvarna 450 Rancher chainsaw, a variety of HVAC tools, and a bag he kept it all in worth 1800 dollars. The weight and value of the copper could not be determined, and ginseng is out of season.
Underwood is charged with burglary and grand larceny. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 50,000 dollar bond.
