FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Anthony Ciliberti, Jr., Prosecuting Attorney, announces that on September 30, 2021, Norine Maryanne Perry, age 49, of Mt. Hope, was sentenced by Judge Thomas H. Ewing to one to fifteen years in prison for her conviction for the felony offense of burglary.
Following her release, she will be required to serve one year on home incarceration for her conviction for the misdemeanor offense of destruction of property.
On April 21, 2021, Perry was convicted at trial for burglary and destruction of property. The evidence at trial established that on December 22, 2018, she went into her ex-husband’s home without permission and caused damage to the home along with destroying windows, cabinets, a television. There was also damage to his vehicle. Perry also sent text messages to her ex-husband while she was in the home, and in those messages, she admitted to destroying his property in a fit of rage.
These crimes were investigated by Deputy Eric Pridemore of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Sarah F. Smith.
